Overview
The Fx1616-BA is a top-of-the-line, full-function industrial PLC — and the "BA" in its name points to its Building Automation focus.
It has 32 digital I/O (expandable to 256) that interface directly to 24VAC or DC, 8 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs at 0–10V. Among the I/O are 4 DC outputs usable as PWM or AC phase-control (dimmer) outputs or to drive stepper motors, plus 3 high-speed encoder inputs, 6 pulse-frequency counter inputs and a built-in infrared remote interface — all standard, at no extra cost. It works with TRi's free OEM tools for remote, protected upgrades.
